  Step 1. Submitting the application

  Step 2. Application processing

  The specialist shall receive and duly register the application for the classification certificate and receive the documents submitted by the applicant, immediately and unconditionally issue the applicant the certificate of attestation. The specialist shall examine the application and the accompanying documents, if it is found that the necessary documents/information required by the legislation are missing, the specialist shall notify the applicant for the classification certificate at least 5 days before the expiry of the deadline for issuing the classification certificate and shall specify the way to remedy the irregularities found.

  Step 3. Examination of the application

  The specialist shall verify compliance with the minimum classification criteria on the spot, in the presence of the representative of the structure, and shall draw up the verification note in duplicate, one copy of which shall be sent to the applicant. 

  Entities which, on the date of the verification, do not meet the minimum classification criteria even for one star will not be classified. The entities obtain the classification category according to the classification category that meet all its spaces. For accommodation spaces, which meet higher category than that of the structure, shall be issued an annex to the classification document stating the respective category of each space. 

  The specialist shall examine the case and organize further interior verifications for taking the decision to issue the certificate.

  Step 4. Completion and issuance of the certificate

  The specialist shall complete the certificate or refusal decision, with an appropriate justification in accordance with the provisions of the law, with direct notification to the applicant and only if the applicant does not meet the conditions expressly specified in the relevant legislation or, as the case may be, does not prove that these conditions are met, which shall be examined and signed by the head of the subdivision providing the service. When the certificate (decision of refusal) is ready, the applicant (legal representative) is notified thereof.

  The classification certificate is issued in paper form (as required by the issuing authority), the specialist shall print the document, issue it to the applicant (or his/her legal representative) and confirm the receipt.
