Breed certificate of the queen bee
The certification of the bee brood material (-breed certificates of the queen bee) intended for commercialization is carried out by the National Agency for Food Safety.

- 1Step 1. Submission of the request
The owner of the brood apiary submits to the offices of the territorial subdivisions of ANSA a request for the breed certificate of the queen bee. The request is submitted in free form or sent by e-mail: info@ansa.gov.md.
- 2Step 2. Material quality check
The National Agency for Food Safety delegates, within 3 days, a territorial zootechnical inspector, who travels to the queen apiary (transport costs are covered by the applicant) and checks the quality of the reproductive material intended for commercialization, of the one in the apiary, as well as the registers of the zootechnical records that certify the breeding quality of the breeding material. In case of necessity, the territorial inspector has the right to invite professional experts in the field for certification, the costs of providing the services being covered by the National Food Safety Agency.
- 3Step 3. Elaboration of conclusions
Following the examination on the ground, the territorial zootechnical inspector makes conclusions about the conformity of the breeding material to the norms of the apiary and the established technical quality requirements, making entries in the passport of the apiary.
- 4Step 4. Perfecting and issuing the Breed Certificate
If the reproductive material meets the norms and requirements, the National Food Safety Agency issues a breed certificate free of charge, within 2 days, for each queen inspected and intended for sale.
