Certificate of biological value – document confirming that, at least on the segment checked by the inspectors, the origin of the variety is known and that the identity of this variety has been maintained distinctively during production and that the planting material has varietal authenticity and purity, is free from diseases or of dangerous pests and is physiologically viable.

- 1Step 1. Submit your application
The economic agent submits an application to the territorial Directorate for food safety.
- 2Step 2. Paying the fee
The requesting economic agent pays the fee for the provision of the service, according to the normative provisions in force.
- 3Step 3. Processing and examining the application
The issuing authority (the responsible inspector from the territorial Directorate for Food Safety) examines the application and checks the accompanying documents, performs the analysis of the sample for technical quality indicators according to the standards in force.
- 4Step 4. Preparation of the Analysis Report
Based on the results obtained, the responsible inspector completes the Analysis Report for checking the external quality of the fruit propagation and planting material.
- 5Step 5. Release/deferral/refusal of release
Issuance of the Certificate of biological value.
