Registration for voting by mail from abroad
If you are abroad during the parliamentary elections on September 28, 2025, you can vote by mail. Registration allows you to receive voting materials by post and send your vote without going to a polling station in person.
You can vote by mail if:
You are a citizen of the Republic of Moldova with the right to vote
You are located in one of the following countries during the voting period:
- United States of America
- Canada
- Kingdom of Norway
- Kingdom of Sweden
- Republic of Finland
- Iceland
- Japan
- Republic of Korea
- Australia
- New Zealand
Important: If you registered for the 2024 elections, you must register again for the 2025 elections.

- 1Submit the request
To register in advance:
- You will identify yourself by entering your personal identification number (IDNP) and date of birth.
- You will receive an email with a link to the application form.
- You will fill in the postal address where you want to receive the envelope with voting materials.
- You will attach a photo of yourself holding an identity document.
- You will confirm the accuracy of the entered data and submit the application.
- You will receive a confirmation email.
The process takes on average 5 minutes.

The verification of applications will begin after August 14, 2025, when the registration period ends.
You will be included in the electoral list for voting by mail only after your application is reviewed and approved by the Central Electoral Commission.
You will receive the result of the verification by email.
