Registration of the Individuals to the Family Doctor
In order to benefit from primary healthcare paid from the mandatory health insurance funds, every citizen must register to a family doctor at a primary healthcare institution.
Changing the family doctor and the primary healthcare institution can be done throughout the year, after six months from the last change/registration, except when the person establishes residence in another locality, including another sector of the Chișinău municipality.
You may choose only one primary healthcare institution, preferably the one closest to your place of the residence.

- 1Step 1. Availability Check
Contact your chosen family doctor to obtain their agreement to enroll you on their list.
- 2Step 2. Submitting the Application
The application is submitted by completing the predefined model (attached). Submit the application to your family doctor if you are registering for the first time or changing doctors within the same medical institution. For changing the family doctor to another medical institution, submit the application in person at CNAM’s beneficiary relations services, located within CNAM's territorial agencies.
- 3Step 3. Notification of the Registration
Within a maximum of 10 days, representatives from the CNAM’s Beneficiary Relations Service will inform you about the update of your registration data in the informational system regarding your enrollment on doctor's list.
- 4Step 4. Verification of the MHI Status
Access the "Verification of the Registration to the Family Doctor" section on the cnam.md website to check which family doctor you are registered with. Information regarding the family doctor can also be viewed in the citizen's personal cabinet at: mcabinet.gov.md
