Flight Simulation Training Devices Qualification Certificate (FSTD)
Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD) - pilot training equipment that is:
1. for aeroplanes, a Full Flight Simulator (FFS) - a Flight Training Device (FTD), a Flight and Navigation Procedures Trainer (FNPT) or a Basic Instrument Training Device (BITD);
2. in the case of helicopters, a Full Flight Simulator (FFS) - a Flight Training Device (FTD) or a Flight and Navigation Procedures Training Device (FNPT).
The certificate is applied for by training organisations holding certificates of approval (ATO, DTO) issued by the CAA or applying for a training organization certificate or a DTO training organisation, which has submitted the declaration to the CAA. The Approved Training Organization (ATO) or Declared Training Organization (DTO) must apply to the CAA in order to obtain that certificate.

- 1Submission of the application
The application (according to the attached form) shall be submitted to the CAA one-stop shop, located in Chisinau municipality, 80/2 Dacia Blvd or through the electronic address: info@caa.gov.md, in compliance with the legal requirements relating to the electronic document.
- 2Processing and examination
The examination process shall be conducted in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 5, Section 1 of the Civil Aviation Procedures and Instructions "Aircrew Certification" CAPI-AC.
- 3Release/deferral/refusal of release
The certificate shall be issued to the applicant at the CAA one-stop shop (Chisinau municipality, 80/2 Dacia Blvd). The refusal to issue the certificate shall be communicated to the applicant at the electronic address, in compliance with the legal requirements relating to the electronic document.
