Certificate of airworthiness
A permissive act, issued in accordance with the law by the Civil Aviation Authority, confirming that, following an inspection, overhaul, repair, modification or installation, the aircraft or its component parts comply with the airworthiness standards in force.
Any natural or legal entity in whose name an aircraft is or will be registered, or its representative, shall be considered eligible as an applicant for a certificate of airworthiness for that aircraft.
The Civil Aviation Authority also issues restrictive certificates of airworthiness for aircraft:
1. which conform to an issued restricted type certificate; or
2. which have demonstrated that they comply with the particular airworthiness specifications ensuring an optimum level of safety.

- 1Submitting the application
The application can be submitted by the applicant in the following ways:
1) online - by pressing the "Apply" button in the Automated Information System for the Management and Issuance of Permitting Documents (SIA GEAP);
2) at the single counter of the CAA, located in mun. Chisinau, bd. Dacia nr. 80/2.

According to the provisions of the Civil Aeronautical Procedures and Instructions PIAC - AW - CNV Administrative Procedures and Instructions for the Airworthiness Licensing of Aircraft - the following steps are to be completed in sequence:
(a) the stage of examination of the documents annexed to the application for the issue of the certificate of airworthiness/restrictive certificate of airworthiness;
(b) aircraft physical inspection stage.
- 3Issuance/deferral/refusal of issuance
The CAA issues the Certificate of Airworthiness through the Automated Information System for the Management and Issuance of Permissive Documents (SIA GEAP) or at the single counter (Chisinau mun., 80/2 Dacia Avenue, Airworthiness Directorate) according to Form 25 CAA of Annex 2 to the Civil Aeronautical Procedures and Instructions PIAC - AW - CNV Administrative Procedures and Instructions for the Airworthiness Certification of Aircrafts.
The Restrictive Certificate of Airworthiness shall be issued in accordance with Form 24 AAC of Annex 2 to the Civil Aeronautical Procedures and Instructions PIAC - AW - CNV Procedures and Administrative Instructions for the Airworthiness aircraft licensing.
Refusal to issue such certificates shall be communicated in writing to the applicant at the electronic address, in compliance with the legal requirements concerning the electronic document.
